Toddler Story Time, 0-2 years
Wednesdays, 10:30 AM - 10:55 AM
Join us in the children's area.
Interactive story time with rhymes, songs and a story with Stay and Play for young children and their caregivers.

Pre-K Story Time, 2.5-5*
Wednesdays, 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Join us in the front foyer of the building. Please enter the library through the Route 13 door.
A mix of activities including longer stories, songs and a little movement. Stay and Play afterward.
*Young siblings are most welcome, but story time will be geared for 3-5 year olds.
Starting Wednesday, June 17, 2025 at 10:30 AM, and running to Wednesday, August 12th, we will hold one Family Story Time outside on the North side of the library building. Bring bug spray, sunblock, a blanket to sit on, and your snacks and water. All ages are welcome!

NH 1000 Books Before Kindergarten@ the Dunbarton Public Library:
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is an nationwide early literacy initiative that encourages families to read to their young children and to use the resources available to them a their public libraries. Additionally, the program encourages family bonding through reading.
The program is designed to be challenging and achievable!
Register for the program at the Dunbarton Public Library. Pick up your first reading log. When you finish your first 100 books bring in your log. For every 100 books you read you will earn a special prize. After 500 books you will receive your very own special NH 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten bag. All may participate. Summer Reading Program
Unearth a Story!
June 23, 2026 – August 7, 2026
Ages K-Grade 4, or Family Read Together.
Read 20 minutes each day, Tuesday-Friday. Grab a log at the library and fill out a dino egg for every 20 minutes you read. Bring your log to the library each week to receive a special treat AND be eligible to receive a raffle ticket for the Summer Reading Grand Prize. Remember that 20 minutes of reading each day keeps your reading level up!
