General information:

The Application for General Assistance is available to pick up at the Town Offices, Monday -Friday between 8am & 4pm. Anyone requesting assistance must complete the application prior to scheduling an appointment. In order to expedite the review process, you will be required to provide all receipts of any expenditures for the previous 30-days. 

When an application for General Assistance is filled out and submitted to the Welfare Department, please be aware it could take up to 72 hours to schedule an appointment to review eligibility. Past due payments are the responsibility of the applicant. If you have received a past-due notice or notice of disconnect please contact your utility company directly to arrange a payment plan. The Town of Dunbarton Welfare Office does not pay for back rent or past due bills.

The Dunbarton Congregational Church maintains a Food Pantry for Dunbarton residents located on the second floor of the Vestry directly across the street from the Town Offices on Rt. 13.  The Food Pantry is stocked with non-perishable food items and toiletries. Under "Community Groups" "Dunbarton Congregational Church", the link for "Food Pantry" can be found on the home page.
