Dunbarton Board of Selectmen

February  14, 2002

Present:  J. R. Swindlehurst, Chairman

Chuck Graybill

J. R. Swindlehurst made the motion to appoint Jacques Belanger as an alternate member of the Conservation Commission for a term ending March 2004.  Chuck Graybill second the motion, all were in favor.

J. R. Swindlehurst made the motion to appoint Kenneth Swayze as a member of the Historical Awareness Committee for a term ending March, 2003.  Motion was seconded by Chuck Graybill, motion passed.

The 2002 Warrant was signed and the budget for the year 2002 was signed.    It was agreed to have Janice VandeBogart send a copy of the warrant to town council, Charlie Bauer, for review.  It was also agreed that the Board would be in touch with the petitioners as soon as the office heard back from Attorney Bauer.

Fred Mullen, from the Town Forest Committee and the KTFCA committee was in to bring the Selectmen up to date on his discussion with the Weare Board of Selectmen on February 11^th in regard to the town bounds between Weare and Dunbarton on KTFCA properties.  The Board of Selectmen in Weare were very interested but would like to wait until next year to put in the budget.  Fred went to the meeting with Margo McCloud who explained to the board why the bounds were needed.  Fred stated that Laura Petron  from the town office in Weare will be mailing a report to Janice which outlines the meeting.  Fred stated that he stressed to the Weare Selectmen that if boundaries are established, there would be a definite line in case of forest fires.  Next November we are to give the Weare Selectmen a call to see if they would put money in their budget in 2003 to share with Dunbarton the cost of having the bounds set.

Motion to adjourn was made by J. R. Swindlehurst at 9:00 pm, seconded by Chuck Graybill.  All in favor.
