Chuck reviewed the likely procedures for the testing of water and soil for contamination in the property surrounding the Town garage. He raised the possibility of having a warrant article to purchase nearby lots, which could be suffering from salt erosion.

J. R. motioned, which was seconded by Chuck, to appoint Karen Lessard as a member of the Old Home Day Committee, with a term expiration of March, 2002. The motion carried.

8:00 pm Karen Meehan

Mrs. Meehan dropped in to discuss her failed septic system on her land housing trailers and the rebuilding of the burned trailer on her property. She was seeking advice on her options for the failed system. Chuck suggested she consult with her attorney and DES.

8:30 pm Patrick “Woody” Bowne and Ken Alton

A discussion ensued about Tom Gleason’s outburst at the Transfer Station this week.

9:05 pm Chuck motioned, which was seconded by J. R. to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried.
