TOWN OF DUNBARTON

                                                            BOARD OF SELECTMEN

                                                                    June 21, 2001

Present: Chuck Graybill

               Les Hammond

                              Janice VandeBogart, Town Administrator

7:10 p.m.              -- John Turner -- Chuck requested John to come in to discuss the Town Hall building  repair of the slate roofing.  John indicated that he was expecting a proposal and will call to check on.

Chuck indicated that Mike Lupa's subdivision on Gorham Pond Rd. and Jim and Bev Marcou's Mansion Rd. subdivision need some work before any permits are issued.

Other Business:  MacKinnon Construction submitted a bid of $29,875 plus $6,000 for drywall on the ceiling of the upper Town Hall.  Since this was the only bid, the Board is going to rebid it.

Janice discussed a proposed acceptable solution to Tom Gleason's  concerns about the transfer station's operating hours.  The station will open one half hour earlier on Wed.

Janice discussed the applicants for the transfer station attendant and flagger -- there were two applicants for the latter and one for the former, with one more likely applicant on Friday.

Janice discussed a welfare case in which no payments have been received yet.  The Welfare Director is going to follow up with the family.

8:20 p.m. -- Larry Cook -- came in to discuss funding of $60,00 for the LCIP and  the proposed funding of $700,000 in federal funds for the purchase of land at Kimball Pond.  The Senate and House still have to pass it, which is expected by fall and would be available next February.  This would be sufficient time to buy the Nassikas property.

8:45 p.m. -- Chuck made a motion to adjourn.  The motion did not receive sufficient votes.

9:00 p.m. -- Les made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Chuck.
