A
discussion
about
the
policy
on
construction
on
Class
VI
roads
ensued. Janice
presented
the
amended
agreement
with
Dollard
and
Associates
for
the
Board's
signatures.
Mr.
Dollard
initialled
the
changes
made
previously
by
the
Board. Les
made
a
motion
that
J.R.
be
appointed
to
the
Joint
Loss
Management
Committee,
which
was
seconded
by
Chuck.
Vote
was
in
the
affirmative. Janice
indicated
that
a
space
is
open
on
the
Historical
Awareness
Committee
and
the
Committee
is
looking
for
suggestions
from
the
Board. Janice
discussed
the
new
town
signs,
which
will
be
up
within
a
couple
of
weeks.
The
cemetery
trustees
are
getting
prices
on
cemetery
signs. 7:35

Shawn
Hickey
--
came
in
to
discuss
Class
VI
roads
--
he
is
looking
at
a
lot
on
Guinea
Rd
(a
class
VI
road).
He
inquired
about
what
is
needed
to
upgrade
to
a
Class
V
road.
The
Board
indicated
that
the
road
needs
to
be
24
feet
wide
plus
shoulders,
and
include
gravel.
The
Board
needs
to
decide
whether
to
allow
building,
even
after
bringing
the
road
up
to
Class
V
standards. 7:55

Jeff
Nelson,
Police
Chief
--
came
in
to
discuss
a
memo
on
job
rates
for
police
special
duty.
He
recommended
a
rate
of
$32/hour
without
the
use
of
a
cruiser
and
$40/hour
with
the
use
of
a
cruiser.
He
felt
the
flat
$40/hour
approved
by
the
Board
last
week
was
too
high
to
be
competitive.
Jeff
also
discussed
proposed
ordinances
regarding
drinking
alcohol
in
public
places,
prohibiting
motor
vehicles
on
certain
town
property,
camping,
noise
and
trespassing
offenses,
including
penalties. Jeff
updated
the
Board
on
Mark
Desmaris.
He
was
arrested
and
is
out
on
bail,
relating
to
an
incident
at
Gorham
Pond
on
5/20/01. 8:20
p.m.

Les
made
a
motion,
which
was
seconded
by
Chuck,
to
go
into
nonpublic
session.
A
discussion
of
a
violation
of
personnel
policy
was
discussed.

come

of
nonpublic

came
in
to
discuss
the
tree
cutting
bids
for
Robert
Rogers
Rd.
Jan
recommended
Precision
Timber
Harvesting.
J.R.
made
a
motion,
which
was
seconded
by
Chuck.
Les
abstained
from
the
vote.
The
motion
included
providing
certificate
of
insurance
and
the
inclusion
of
the
tree
on
the
town

to
adjourn
the
