BOARD OF SELECTMEN

MINUTES OF MEETING

February 15, 2001

 

 

Present:  Merton Mann, Chair

                Chuck Graybill

                J.R. Swindlehurst,

                                            Janice Jelley, Town Administrator

 

7:00  Steve Cohen – Goffstown Jr. Baseball – seeking use of softball field.  Steve was referred to the school to schedule practice time.

 

7:30  -  The Board discussed the maintenance of the school building and grounds, and who is responsible for it.  Chuck expressed his feeling that the school should be responsible for all of the school maintenance.  The school walkway has not been shoveled.  The Board will talk to Chuck Gaides. 

 

 

7:45 – David DeVeau tendered a letter of resignation from the Ethics Committee.  Mert made a motion, which was seconded by Chuck, to accept his resignation.  Vote was in the affirmative.

 

8:00  - Bruce Vaal,  Building  Inspector, discussed that Mark Desmarais is looking for his occupancy permit, which Bruce feels that he cannot  grant due to various  variances not being resolved.   He will talk to town council  before responding to Mr. Desmarais’ written request.

 

 8:10 -  Jacques Belanger  discussed the Planning Board’s request for upgrading Rangeley Rd.  Chuck suggested Jan VandeBogart, Road Agent,  go take a look at it.

 

  8:30 Chuck made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Mert.
