2001 operating
budget of $665.00,
which included an
addition of $100.00
for the state fees
on Kimball

that Dunbarton is
one of three
towns eligible for
forest legacy
funding for 2002.
Larry discussed
the Commission's
interest in
obtaining a warrant
article at
town meeting, and
asked if the Board
would support it.
Mert indicated
that the Board would
have to read it
first. Larry will
provide a
draft to the Board
before a 2/6
deadline.

Janice Jelley
requested that the
Board make Martin
Luther King Day a
town holiday. It was

Jan VandeBogart,
Road Agent - Highway
Budget A
discussion ensued
regarding the hourly
rate for the
individuals plowing,
which ranges between
$50 - $57, and
whether the winter
budget should
be raised from
$85,000.00.
Jan reviewed
the changes in line items,
including supplies
and telephone.
Jan then
reviewed other line items,
including Other
Services-Ind. Contr.
Jan indicated
that the 1986
one-ton dump truck
will need to be
replaced soon.
One
possibility is
using the old police
truck, in the event
that the dump truck
dies this
year.
Jan will
check with the
Acting Police Chief,
Joe Milioto.
J.R.
questioned why the
gas expense is up.
Jan indicated
that his truck
now uses gas, not
diesel.
J.R. asked
what Jan's plans are
for road projects
this year.
They include
repairing culverts
on Twist Hill,
County and
Robert Rogers Roads.
J.R. would
like to see the
roadsides cleaned out.
J.R.
made a motion,
seconded by Chuck
Graybill, to adjourn
the meeting

The motion
carried. ____________________________________ Merton
