Cemetery Trustees’ Minutes

April 7, 2009

Attendees:  Brian Pike (Trustee), Richard Schaeffer (Trustee), Gary Maccubbin (Trustee), Steve Racine – Cemetery Consultant 

Meeting was convened at 7:00 PM 

       Old Business – Steve Racine presented the plot plans for Lots at Pages Corner.

       Trustees talked to Steve Racine about laying out the Cremains garden at the Center Cemetery. 

       Richard Schaeffer was nominated and elected for the chairman position for 2009.

       Gary Maccubbin was nominated and elected for Secretary for 2009. 

       Koren Maccubbin was presented a Certificate of Appreciation for her tenure as a Cemetery Trustee.  

       Cemetery Trustee Seminar on Jun2, 2009 will be held at Concord.  Gary Maccubbin and Richard Schaeffer plan to attend.  Brian Pike will decide if he can attend at a later date. 

       Brian Pike will call Mr. Underwood and have him drop off his certificate of liability to the Town Administrator.

       Cemeteries will be closed till May 1, 2009 due to wet grounds.  Exceptions need Trustee approval.

       Brian Pike noticed that while walking East Cemetery that one of the monolith monuments was toppled over – weather related. 

       Richard asked Town Administrator to order 4 three ring notebooks and dividers.

       He also asked the Town Administrator to look into the feasibility to have an extension for the Cemetery Trustees so incoming calls from Funeral Directors and or concerned parties to call.  Richard Schaeffer asked the town Administrator to look into the possibility of the Cemetery  
Trustees getting space on the town server. 

       Need to send out our Rules and Regulations to local Funeral Homes and Monument Dealers.  Brian Pike has the lead on this action. 

       Walk of Cemeteries scheduled for April 19, 2009,  1300 hours.  Meet at Pages Corner
