MIINUTES OF MEETING

 July 22,  2005

 

Present:          Timothy Terragni, Chairman

                        John Swindlehurst, II

                       

                        Bud Noyes, Appraiser

                       

                        Janice VandeBogart, Secretary and Town Administrator

 

The meeting was called to order at 10 am.

 

The purpose of this meeting was to review the current use on the Singer property on Mansion Road, E3-02-34.  Bud Noyes had reviewed the property and felt that more land needed to be taken out of current use due to improvements on the property.

 

The board felt that it would be necessary to set up an appointment with the Singers to walk the land and then make a decision.  John Swindlehurst stated that he would contact the Singers.

 

Meeting adjourned  at 11 am.

 

Follow-up meeting with Pam Singer:  July 25, 2005:

 

Tim Terragni and John Swindlehurst meet with Pam Singer, lot E3-02-34, at the site to walk the property and review the Singer’s current use status.  The total acres for this property is 16.7 acres, 4.3 acres were out of current use and 12.4 in current use.  It was agreed by all that the property no longer qualified for current use.    Therefore, it was the vote of the Board of Assessors to disqualify the full 12.4 acres, without penalty due to an administrative error.  This change would take effect for the 2005 tax year.
