BOARD OF ASSESSORS

TOWN OF DUNBARTON

Present:  Timothy Terragni

                 Bryan Clark

 

The minutes of the following meetings were reviewed:  January 20, 2004, February 3, 2004 and February 5, 2004.  Motion was made by John Swindlehurst to accept the minutes as written.  Bryan Clark seconded this motion, all were in favor.  Motion passed.

 

As a follow-up to the meeting with Don Perkins, B2-1-1, on January 20th, the Board reviewed the revised assessments made by Assessor Bud Noyes on the Perkins property and the property of Mike and Lisa Poirier, B3-2-8.  Mr. Noyes came up with the following:

The motion was made by John Swindlehurst to accept the new assessments and to return overpayment to Don Perkins and send an added tax bill to Poirier.  The motion was seconded by Tim Terragni.  The vote was in the affirmative.  Motion passed.

 

Current Use Penalties:

 

1.                            D6-4-6, Michael & Soheila Degieux.  Sale price was $110,533 therefore the penalty was agreed on at $11,053.  The board approved and signed the release.

2.                            C6-4-4, Cimray Homes.  New home built, permit issued in October, 2003.  It was the decision of the board to base the penalty on the sale price of lot D6-4-6 of $110,000.  The penalty will be $11,000.   The release was approved and signed.

 

 

The Board signed an intent to cut timber for Candi & Andrew Legault, I2-1-3.

 

Decision on Revaluation:

 

The board discussed their meetings with the two candidates for the revaluation of the town, Vision Appraisal Tech and Ears Nieder Perkins, LLC. 

 

After much discussion, John Swindlehurst made the motion to go with Vision Appraisal with the understanding that everything in kitchen area, etc, would be listed on the appraisal.  After more discussion the motion was seconded by Bryan Clark.  Vote was as follows:  Tim Terragni, Aye; John Swindlehurst, Aye; Bryan Clark, Aye.  Motion carried.  Recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of Selectmen.
