·        Minutes of June meeting

·        Timber Tax Warrant:  Derrick LaBranche E5-1-1

·        Certification of Timber Cut:  Derrick LaBranche E5-1-1

·        Current Use Penalty:  James Stone F4-1-2 $ 4,000

To date, the Board has not received the additional information requested of Scott Harrington regarding a Veteran’s Exemption.

The board reviewed the map provided by Richard Ewans.  The map he supplied showed only 9 acres although he was enrolling 10.  Also, Compton felt the map was not delineated enough.  Brian little left a message for Mr. Ewans regarding this.

The Board discussed taxation of the addition built by Dan and Betty Dennison.  No permit was found for this addition and the Dennison’s had not been taxed on it.  The Dennison’s informed the Town Assessor they had indeed applied for a permit but could not find their copy (the addition has been on the house for a few years).  The Building Department had them fill out another permit.  After some discussion Brian Little moved that as of April 1, the frame of the previously assessed foundation be added to the tax rolls to due the owner’s confirmation to the Town Assessor that the frame had existed prior to that date.  The Board voted in the affirmative.

The Board reviewed the plot plan for Jan and Janice Van de Bogart lot C6-3-2 Phase I.

Mr. George Nicolaou requested an abatement on his property.  (His house was badly damaged in a fire July 4 of this year).  After some discussion, Tim Terragni made the motion to assess his land (which includes well, septic and utilities, establishing a value of $5, 000 on the remaining structure effective July 4, 2002.  The Board voted in the affirmative.

The Board approved of the Selectman’s selection of George Sansoucy’s bid for utility appraisal services.

Meeting adjourned at 8:35 PM.
