Minutes of August 19, 2004

Meeting
was called to order at 7:30pm.
Present: Kim Vaillancourt, Annie Carney, Terri
Francoeur, Karen Lessard and Jean Leo
Karen
Lessard made a motion, seconded by Terri F. to accept the July 29 Public
Hearing minutes. Motion passed.
Karen

Electric: Electric work is done in gym – will need to get
clock out and test. Will purchase
benches in near future.
Rec
Contact: Will talk to Janice VanDeBogart
at town office to have all calls go to her.
Rec members should not be called at work.
Phone
Poll: Phone poll was done regarding
asking Bill Brennan, Vicki Kelly and Michaela Blanchette to be acting Program
Coordinators until after registrations.
Results were 6 in favor; 0 opposed.
Press
Release: Terri Francoeur will send Press
Release to Bow Times. They had been
invited to this meeting but were unable to attend.
Basketball: Registrations will be from Oct. 1 through
Oct. 15. Late registrations, at an additional cost of $20, will be accepted
from Oct. 16 through October 22.
Tentative registration nights are Oct. 6 and Oct. 13 from 6 – 8 pm. Kim is researching info for a coaching
clinic.
Red
Cross: Terri is looking into CPR and/or
babysitting courses to be sponsored by Rec.
Halloween: We will hold the Annual Halloween Party on
Sat. October 23.
Foxwoods:
Due to lack of response the trip will be canceled.
Senior
Fair: Rec received a thank you from the Dunbarton Police Association for
attending the Senior Fair on August 2nd .
Car
Wash: Annie C. organized a car wash to
benefit the softball program. Many
players participated. Dave Barkie from Pages Corner Store and Deli donated use of his
facility and an additional $100. Over
$400 raised! Will send thank you to Dave and publish one in the Bow Times.
Old
Home Day: Ideas were discussed.
Public
Comment: No public present.
The
September meeting will be September 16 at 7:30pm at the Police Station.
