Dunbarton Recreation Commission

Minutes of April 15, 2004

Meeting was called to order at 7:35.

Present: Kim Vaillancourt, Terri Francoeur, Karen Lessard and Jean Leo

Mission Statement: Terri F. presented draft of Mission Statement to be reviewed by Rec members for May approval.

On behalf of all members, Terri F. thanked outgoing members Sue Nichols and Jacques Belanger for all their hard work and years of service to the Recreation Commission. They will be missed.

Two new members have been appointed by the Selectmen to the Recreation Commission. We welcome Jeff Nelson and Dean Jore and look forward to working with them.

Public Comment: Draft of Recreation’s Policies and Procedures was handed out.

Easter Review: Very positive feedback from the community. Every child went home with a prize. We will use the same format for next year.

Election of Officers: Unanimous vote for entire slate of officers – Chair -Terri Francoeur, Vice Chair – Annie Carney, Treasurer – Karen Lessard, Secretary – Jean Leo,

Historian – Kim Vaillancourt

Electrical/ Benches: Kim V. is asking for written bids from 6 electricians. Cost for benches will be about $900.

Trips: Anticipate a trip to Foxwoods on Sept. 11^th or 18^th.

Anticipate trip to Yankee Candle on Oct. 23^rd.

Shed: Kim has applied for permit - anticipate starting on April 17^th.

Work session: A work session for the Policies and Procedures will be held on May 2 at 10:30am.

Motion made and approved to accept minutes of March meeting.

The May meeting will be at 8:00pm on May 20^th.
