Minutes of Meeting October 23, 2003

Present: Gayle Troy, Brett St. Clair, Scott Ives

Excused: Nick Holmes, Jackie Kennedy

The committee met briefly on Thursday night 10/23 from 7:30 to 7:50 p.m. This meeting had been officially posted with this date.

The purpose of the meeting was to conduct an Ethics Training session for town officials, board and committee members and employees.

It was subsequently discovered by Brett St. Clair on October 24 that the letter he drafted to the above mentioned individuals listed the following Thursday evening, October 30, as the date of the training session. There are five Thursdays this month instead of four.

After learning of this mistake in the announced date, the committee decided to hold the session on the 30^th as stated in the letter. This decision was made on October 24.

Other business discussed on October 23: Scott Ives will represent the committee as panelist at the NH Municipal Association’s conference on November 12 in Manchester. The NHMA asked for a representative for a panel on Financial Responsibility and Ethics. Brett St. Clair will provide him with the details and Scott will follow up with the NHMA to confirm his participation.

A decision on rescheduling the November meeting, due to Thanksgiving was discussed. An alternate date of November 20 was suggested if needed. St. Clair will poll the excused committee members on this rescheduled meeting date.
