OLD BUSINESS:

Status of local projects/Wetlands Bureau updates

Pike development (Rt. 13, currently golf course)

Larry Cook and Margaret Watkins have reviewed the conservation easement.  Larry stated he would be meeting to discuss the development with members of the Planning Board and Town Counsel on September 15, 2005.  A number of concerns were then discussed which included further expansions, permanent open space protection and monitoring of the conservation easement. Margaret suggested that a written use restriction be included in the easement which will permanently restrict the number of units to 88.  It was also suggested that installation of erosion controls before winter would provide the necessary protection to sensitive areas from extensive logging, etc.

Stinson Hills (Mansion Road, former Dipietro development)

The law firm of Ransmier and Spellman has drawn up a trail easement which the town will hold on this property.  A “passive foot path”, if constructed, would provide access to the Brown conservation land on Route 13.

Kimball Pond Conservation Area

Gating of Legache Hill

Stan Sowle confirmed that he has two gates which he can hauled to the sites.  However, they are very heavy and large equipment will be needed to install them.
